David says “I am a singer and songwriter born and raised in the city of Sheffield in England. My mothers side of the family are from Wales (my grand mother Williams ) .My grandfathers name was Paskell, as it's my mothers maiden name I thought I would use it.

I have been a vocalist in various Sheffield bands over the years. Some good ones, some not so good I. The last band I was in was Root Fish (dance, dub, rock music) as their singer which I did for a few years. I am influenced by punk, folk and world music a bit of blues and jazz some country music.

I don't consider myself a folk musician , I don't fit in any genre as far as I know not that I want to, I just do what I do. I do play a lot of folk type events.The one thing I am not is pop never have been never will be
